Wiper Arm: Service and Repair

REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Before you remove the windshield wiper arm, place the wipers in the park position and note its location for proper installation.

1. Remove the plastic nut cover from the wiper arm.
2. Remove the following components from the windshield wiper transmission:
^ The 1 nut (2)
^ The wiper arm (1)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the windshield wiper arm (1) to the windshield wiper transmission. Secure the arm with the nut (2).

Tighten
Tighten the windshield wiper arm nut to 20 N.m (14 lb ft).

2. Install the plastic nut cover to the wiper arm.
