Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the bolt (2) which secures the windshield washer solvent container (1). Position the washer solvent container in order to gain access to the washer pump.




2. Disconnect the windshield washer pump electrical connector (1).
3. Drain the washer solvent.
4. Remove the windshield washer nozzle hose (3) from the washer pump (2).




5. Remove the washer pump (2) from the washer solvent container (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the windshield washer pump (2) to the windshield washer solvent container (1).




2. Install the windshield washer nozzle hose (3) to the washer pump (2).
3. Connect the washer pump electrical connector (1).





NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the washer solvent container (1) to the vehicle. Secure the container with the bolt (2).

Tighten
Tighten the washer solvent container bolt to 5.5 N.m (49 lb in).

5. Fill the washer solvent container (1) with washer solvent.
