Gear Select/Skip Shift Solenoid Replacement

Removal Procedure
^ Tools Required
^ J 41099 Gear Select/Reverse Lockout Solenoid Socket





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the gear select solenoid electrical connector.





3. Using the J 41099, remove the gear select solenoid.

Installation Procedure

^ J 41099 Gear Select/Reverse Lockout Solenoid Socket

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Using the J 41099, install the gear select (skip shift) solenoid.
^ Tighten the gear select solenoid to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).





2. Connect the gear select solenoid electrical connector.
3. Lower the vehicle.
