Material returns to the Warranty Parts Center have shown that many Corvette root panels are being replaced under warranty, when the actual cause is owner abuse. In addition, some panels' assemblies have been replaced when repair parts, such as weatherseals and latches, could have been used.
Numerous publications are available to assist in correct diagnosis and repair of roof panels.

^ Corporate Bulletin Numbers 83-15-02, 83-15-07 and 83-15-OS are service bulletins that address waterleak repair on the coupe model.

Corvette customers often demand a certain amount of goodwill from their dealers. When a goodwill adjustment, rather than a warranty replacement, is called for, the warranty claim should reflect the goodwill adjustment.
