Suspension Link

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

- Tools Required
- J 42188 Ball Joint Separator





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lift Points.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
3. Disconnect the outer tie rod end from the suspension knuckle. Refer to Tie Rod Replacement (Outer End).
4. Remove the nut retaining the rear suspension adjustment link to the crossmember.
5. Remove the rear suspension adjustment link from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the rear suspension adjustment link to the vehicle.
2. Install the rear suspension adjustment link nut to the back side of the crossmember.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

- Tighten the rear suspension adjustment link nut to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the outer tie rod end into the suspension knuckle. Refer to Replacement (Outer End).
4. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Adjust the rear wheel toe as necessary. Refer to Rear Toe Adjustment in Wheel Alignment.
