SIR Steering Wheel Module Coil - Disassemble

DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE





1. Remove the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble -Off Vehicle (Non-Telescoping Column).
2. Remove the wire harness straps (2) from the steering column tilt head assembly (1).





3. Pop the wire harness assembly (1) from the wire harness strap (2).
4. Disconnect the SIR coil assembly connector.





5. Remove the retaining ring (3) using snap ring pliers.
6. Remove the SIR coil assembly (4) from the steering shaft assembly (2).
