Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the left fuel rail cover.




2. Disconnect the EVAP purge solenoid valve to intake manifold [1][2]EVAP pipe.




3. Disconnect the chassis [1][2]EVAP pipe to EVAP purge solenoid valve pipe.




4. Disconnect the EVAP purge solenoid valve electrical connector.
5. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid valve from the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EVAP purge solenoid valve to the bracket.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the EVAP purge solenoid valve.




3. Connect the chassis [1][2]EVAP pipe to EVAP purge solenoid valve pipe.




4. Connect the EVAP purge solenoid valve to intake manifold [1][2]EVAP pipe.




5. Install the left fuel rail cover.
