Tire Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Raise the vehicle on a suitable support. Refer to Vehicle Lift Points.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
3. Remove the tire from the wheel. Refer to Tire Mounting and Dismounting (EMT/Aluminum Wheel) in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
4. Remove the TPM sensor nut.
5. Remove the TPM sensor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the sensor.
2. Install the sensor nut.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
- Tighten the nut to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
3. Install the tire on the wheel. Refer to Tire Mounting and Dismounting (EMT/Aluminum Wheel) in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
4. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Program the TPM sensors. Testing and Inspection
