Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Open the hood.
2. Raise the headlamp manually. Rotate the headlamp motor/actuator manual control knob counterclockwise to raise the headlamp.
3. Disconnect the headlamp wiring harness electrical connector from the forward lamp wiring harness.




4. Remove the headlamp bezel.

CAUTION: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in Cautions and Notices.

5. Reach through the opening between the headlamp assembly and the frame rail to access the headlamp bulb.
6. Twist and remove the appropriate bulb from the headlamp capsule.
7. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in Cautions and Notices.




1. Install the headlamp bulb to the headlamp capsule.
2. Connect the electrical connector to bulb.
3. Install the headlamp bezel.




4. Lower the headlamp manually. Rotate the headlamp motor/actuator manual control knob clockwise to lower the headlamp.
5. Connect the headlamp wiring harness electrical connector to the forward lamp wiring harness.
6. Close the hood.
7. Check the headlamp aim.
