Vacuum Electrical Solenoid Replacement


REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) lower insulator panel - RH.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the vacuum control solenoid valve.




3. Disconnect the vacuum harness connector from the vacuum control solenoid valve.




4. Remove the vacuum control solenoid valve retaining screws.
5. Remove the control solenoid.
Pull the control solenoid straight down to release the tab from the slot in the HVAC module case.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the vacuum control solenoid valve tab to the slot in the HVAC module case, then push up to seat the control solenoid.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the vacuum control solenoid valve retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the vacuum control solenoid valve retaining screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).




3. Connect the vacuum harness connector to the vacuum control solenoid valve.




4. Connect the electrical connector to the vacuum control solenoid valve.
5. Install the instrument panel (I/P) lower insulator panel - RH.
