Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.





2. Loosen the three insulator nuts (2, 3).
3. Lift the Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module/Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (EBTCM/BPMV) assembly out of the bracket and support.

IMPORTANT: Do no damage brake lines when moving the EBTCM/BPMV assembly.





4. Remove the four bracket bolts (4).
5. Remove the steering gear nut (2) and bolt (5).
6. Remove the bracket (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bracket (3).





2. Install the four bracket bolts (4).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the four bracket bolts to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the steering gear bolt (5) and nut (2).

Tighten the steering gear nut to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module/Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (EBTCM/BPMV) assembly into the bracket.

Tighten the three insulator nuts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
