DTC B2805 No Transmitter Programmed:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When a receiver is replaced, program all transmitters to the new electronic door lock receiver. DTC B2805 will remain current until at least one transmitter is programmed. The electronic door lock receiver can stored up to 3 identification codes at a time.
Conditions For Setting The DTC
The electronic door lock receiver has indicated that no transmitter Vehicle Access Code (VAC) has been programmed.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
^ Stores a DTC B2805 in the receiver memory
^ No driver warning message will be displayed for this DTC.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
The electronic door lock receiver can only detect this condition as a current code. Therefore, when the receiver has indicated that a valid VAC was programmed properly, this DTC will automatically clear.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
A DTC B2805 will remain stored in the receiver's memory until at least one transmitter is programmed.
TEST DESCRIPTION
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table:
2. This step checks if the receiver is currently programmed to a transmitter.
4. This step substitutes a known good transmitter in order to check if the original transmitter is malfunctioning.
5. This step checks the condition of the transmitter battery.
