Horn Switch

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
3. Remove the inflator restraint module. Refer to Infl Rst Steering Wheel Module Replacement in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
4. Remove the horn contact from the steering column.





5. Disconnect the horn contact wiring (2) from the 3 contacts (1) on the inflator module (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Connect the horn contact wiring (2) to the 3 contacts (1) on the inflator module (3).
2. Install the inflator module to the steering wheel. Refer to Inn Rst Steering Wheel Module Replacement in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
3. Enable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
