Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair

EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement


REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve electrical connector.




2. Remove the hoses to the EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.




3. Remove the EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve mounting bracket attaching nut.
4. Remove the EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve along with the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve and the attaching nut.

Tighten
Tighten the EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve mounting bracket attaching nut to 8-12 N.m (70-106 lb in).




2. Install the hoses to the EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.




3. Install the valve electrical connector.
