Mode Actuator Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the left sound insulator.
3. Remove the instrument panel trim pad.
4. Remove the air distribution duct.
5. Remove the actuator from the module.
6. Remove the actuator rod from the module.
7. Remove the vacuum hose from the actuator.
8. Remove the vacuum actuator from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the vacuum actuator from below.
2. Install the vacuum hoses to the actuator.
3. Install the actuator rod to the module from above.
4. Install the air distribution duct.
5. Install the instrument panel trim pad.
6. Install the left sound insulator.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

7. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
