Engine Block Heater: Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Heater Mounting:

Engine Coolant Heater Cord Storage:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Drain coolant.
2. Raise vehicle.
3. Electrical cord from engine coolant heater.
4. Engine coolant heater
If not originally equipped with an engine coolant heater:
^ Remove threaded plug from coolant pump housing.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Engine coolant heater.
Tighten
^ Engine coolant heater to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
2. Electrical cord to the engine coolant heater.

Important
^ Electrical cord must not contact hot surfaces or any moving parts.

3. Lower vehicle.
4. Fill cooling system.
