Flex Plate to Crankshaft

1. Install the manual transmission engine flex plate to the crankshaft (if applicable). Align the mark or scribe on the crankshaft with the mark or scribe on the flex plate.





2. Install the automatic transmission engine flex plate to the crankshaft (if applicable). Align the mark or scribe on the crankshaft with the mark or scribe on the flex plate.





3. Install the engine flex plate bolts.
a. Tighten the engine flex plate bolts first pass in sequence to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).
b. Tighten the engine flex plate bolts second pass in sequence to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
c. Tighten the engine flex plate bolts final pass in sequence to 100 Nm (74 lb ft).
