SIR Coil Assembly - Centering

SIR Coil Centering Procedure
1. Remove the coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil (SIR Coil Assembly).
2. Hold the coil assembly with the bottom up.
a. While holding the coil assembly, depress the spring lock in order to rotate the hub in the direction of the arrow until it stops.
b. Ensure that the coil ribbon is snugly wound against the center hub.
3. Rotate the coil hub, in the opposite direction of the arrow, approximately two and a half (2 1/2) turns.
4. Release the spring lock between the locking tabs.
