Heater Pipes

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required

J 38185 Spring Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Drain the coolant.

2. Remove the intake manifold.

3. Remove the heater inlet and outlet hose clamps at the heater hose pipes.

4. Separate the heater hoses from the heater hose pipes.

5. Remove the heater hose pipe mounting bolt.

6. Remove the heater hose pipe bracket nut.

7. Remove the heater hose pipes from the vehicle.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Tools Required

J 38185 Spring Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Install the heater hose pipes into the vehicle.

- Tighten the heater hose pipe mounting bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

- Tighten the heater hose pipe bracket nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the inlet and outlet heater hoses onto the heater hose pipes.

3. Install the heater inlet and outlet hose clamps at the heater hose pipes.

4. Install the intake manifold.

5. Refill the coolant system.
