Heater Hoses

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required

J 38185 Spring Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Drain the coolant.

2. Remove the two clamps from the heater inlet hose, one at the coolant pump and one at the heater pipe.

3. Remove the two clamps from the heater outlet hose, one at the coolant pump and one at the coolant surge tank.

4. Remove the two clamps from the heater outlet hose, one at the coolant surge tank and one at the heater pipe.

5. Remove the heater inlet and outlet hoses.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Tools Required

J 38185 Spring Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Clean the hose fittings before reinstalling the hoses.

2. Install the heater inlet hose.

3. Install the two heater inlet hose clamps. One at the coolant pump and one at the heater hose pipe.

4. Install the heater outlet hose from the coolant pump to the coolant surge tank.

5. Install the two heater outlet hose clamps. One at the coolant pump and one at the coolant surge tank.

6. Install the heater outlet hose from the coolant surge tank to the heater hose pipe.

7. Install the two heater outlet hose clamps. One at the coolant surge tank and one at the heater pipe.

8. Refill the coolant system.

9. Check for leaks.
