REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the valve rocker arms, pedestal, and valve pushrods.
3. Remove the LH exhaust manifold from the cylinder head. See Exhaust System.
4. Remove the intake manifold.
5. Remove the vapor vent pipe.
6. Remove the power steering pump pulley using Pump Pulley Remover.
7. Remove power steering pump mounting bolts.
8. Remove the power steering reservoir bracket bolts and reposition the pump and reservoir assembly.
9. Remove the lower accessory mounting bracket bolts.
10. Remove the accessory mounting bracket.
11. Remove the ground wire bolt from the rear of the cylinder head.
12. Remove the LH cylinder head.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the LH cylinder head.
2. Install the ground wire and bolts to the rear of the head.
NOTE: Install the upper accessory mounting bracket bolts loosely to the bracket to insure proper alignment when tightening.
3. Install the accessory mounting bracket to the engine.
4. Install the lower accessory mounting bracket bolts. Tighten the accessory mounting bracket bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the power steering pump to the accessory mounting bracket.
6. Install the power steering pump bolts. Tighten the pump mounting bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the power steering reservoir and bolts to the accessory mounting bracket. Tighten the power steering reservoir bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the power steering pump pulley to the pump using Pump Pulley Installer.
9. Install the exhaust manifold. See Exhaust System.
10. Install the valve rocker arms, pedestal, and valve push rods.
11. Install the vapor vent pipe.
12. Install the intake manifold.
13. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten the bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
14. Inspect for any leaks.
