Engine Block Heater: Description and Operation

The engine coolant heater is used to heat engine coolant making it easier to start the engine in cold climates. It is installed into the engine block at a water jacket plug location. An engine coolant heater cord is routed inside the engine compartment. The heater is rated at 600 watts and uses a 110-volt AC power supply.
