Rear Brake Rotor Replacement

NOTE: The rear brake rotor can be removed without removal of the caliper from the mounting plate.

Rear Brake Rotor And Mounting Plate:





REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise and suitably support vehicle.
2. Tire and wheel.
3. Two rear brake caliper bolts/screws (36). Discard rear brake caliper bolts/screws (36).
4. Caliper mounting plate (17) with assembled caliper from caliper mounting plate (on axle) (38) and suspend them from rear suspension out of the way using locally fabricated wire hook.
5. Brake rotor (39).

Install or Connect
1. Brake rotor (39).
2. Caliper mounting plate (17) with assembled caliper to caliper mounting plate (on axle) (38).
3. Two new rear brake caliper bolts/screws (36). Tighten Brake caliper mounting plate bolts/screws (36) to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.). Check torque on both rear brake caliper bolts/screws (36) immediately.
4. Tire and wheel.
5. Lower vehicle.
