Front Floor Console Transmission Shift Opening Trim Plate

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Place the ignition switch in the "RUN" position.
3. Place the shift lever in "NEUTRAL."


4. Shift lever knob from the shift lever.
5. Unsnap the front floor console accessory trim plate.
6. Electrical connectors from switches, if equipped.
7. Coin holder from inside console.
8. Front floor console transmission shift opening trim plate bolts/screws (28).
9. Front floor console transmission shift opening trim plate (29).

Install or Connect
1. Front floor console transmission shift opening trim plate (29).
^ Position trim plate (29) over shifter lever, initially inserting forward end of trim plate (29) into console (33) then apply pressure and snap into place.
2. Front floor console transmission shift opening trim plate bolts/screws (28).
Tighten
^ Front floor console transmission shift opening trim plate bolts/screws (28) to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
3. Coin holder from inside console.
4. Electrical connectors from switches, if equipped.
5. Unsnap the front floor console accessory trim plate.
6. Shift lever knob from the shift lever.
7. Place the shift lever in "PARK."
8. Place the ignition switch in the "OFF" position.
9. Negative battery cable.
Tighten
^ Negative battery cable to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
