Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

^ Tools Required:
- J 23907 Slide Hammer
- J 26941 Extension Housing Seal Remover
- J 21426 Extension Housing Seal Installer

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Propeller shaft. Refer to "PROPELLER SHAFT."
2. Output shaft seal (28 or 29) using J 26941 with J 23907.

INSTALLATION OR CONNECTION
1. Output shaft seal (28 or 29), using J 21426.
2. Lubricate inside diameter of output shaft seal (28 or 29) with transmission fluid.
3. Propeller shaft.

Inspect
- Manual transmission fluid level. Refer to "CHECKING MANUAL TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL."
