Outer Bearing

Standard Rear Axle Assembly:

Rear Axle Assembly With Traction Control (Acceleration Slip Regulation):

^ Tools Required:
- J 8092 Driver Handle
- J 7817 Front Pinion Bearing Cup Installer

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Differential drive pinion gear (23) from rear axle housing (16).
2. Differential drive pinion gear seal (6) from rear axle housing (16).
3. Drive pinion gear outer bearing (7) from rear axle housing (16).





4. Drive pinion gear outer bearing race from rear axle housing (16), if replacing outer bearing (7).
- Drive race from rear axle housing (16), using a punch in slots provided for this purpose.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Drive pinion gear outer bearing race into rear axle housing (16), if removed, using J 8092 and J 7817.
2. Drive pinion gear outer bearing (7) into rear axle housing (16).
3. Differential drive pinion gear seal (6).
4. Differential drive pinion gear (23).
