Service Procedure

1. Unlatch and fully lower convertible top.

2. Remove cover from top of quarter rim panel.

3. Position quarter trim panel to provide clearance to retractor and retractor attaching bolt.





4. Determine if retractor is positioned correctly as illustrated.

- If retractor is positioned CORRECTLY, proceed to Step # 8.

- If retractor is positioned INCORRECTLY, proceed to Step # 5.

5. Loosen shoulder belt retractor bolt.

6. Rotate retractor to ensure locating tab is properly located in slot on quarter panel.

7. While holding retractor in position, tighten shoulder belt retractor bolt and torque to 42 Nm (31 lb. ft.).

8. Reposition quarter trim panel and reinstall cover on top of quarter trim panel.

9. Repeat steps 2 through 8 for the remaining side of the vehicle.

10. Raise and latch convertible top.

11. Install the GM Campaign Identification Label.
