Instrument Panel Module

CAUTION: Refer to Service Precautions / Technician Safety Information.

Remove or Disconnect
1. Disable SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
2. inflatable restraint control module bracket bolts/screws (20) (upper and lower).
3. Inflatable restraint instrument panel module bracket (19).
4. Inflatable restraint instrument panel module bolts/screws (17).
5. Inflatable restraint instrument panel module (18).

Install or Connect

NOTICE: Refer to Service Precautions / Vehicle Damage Warnings / Fastener Requirements.

1. Inflatable restraint instrument panel module (18).
2. Inflatable restraint instrument panel module bolts/screws (17).
Tighten
^ Inflatable restraint instrument panel module bolts/screws (17) to 3.2 Nm (28 lb in).


3. Inflatable restraint instrument panel module bracket (19)
4. Inflatable restraint control module bracket bolts/screws (20) (upper and lower).

Tighten
^ Inflatable restraint control module bracket bolts/screws (lower) to 2.8 Nm (25 lb in).
^ Inflatable restraint control module bracket bolt/screw (upper) to 6 Nm (53 lb. in.).
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
