Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise and suitably support vehicle.
2. Exhaust muffler.
3. Rear axle tie rod brace bracket. See Steering and Suspension.





4. Loosen clamp (9) from exhaust pipe (12) to catalytic converter (7).
5. Slide exhaust pipe (12) from catalytic converter (7).
6. Exhaust pipe (12) from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Exhaust pipe to vehicle.
2. Slide exhaust pipe (12) onto catalytic converter (7).
3. Tighten clamp (9) from exhaust pipe (12) to catalytic converter (7). Tighten clamp (9) to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
4. Rear axle tie rod. See Steering and Suspension.
5. Exhaust muffler.
6. Lower vehicle.
