Right Side
REMOVAL1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield nuts.
3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shields.
4. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle suitably.
5. Remove the exhaust catalytic converter pipe.
6. Remove the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Remove the exhaust manifold studs and bolts.
10. Remove the exhaust manifold.
11. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.
12. Clean the exhaust manifold and cylinder head gasket surfaces.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the exhaust manifold gasket.
2. Install the exhaust manifold.
3. Install the exhaust manifold studs and bolts. Tighten the studs and bolts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
4. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle suitably.
5. Connect the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
6. Install the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
7. Install the exhaust catalytic converter pipe.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Install the exhaust manifold heat shields.
10. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield nuts. Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
