Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Drain radiator.
2. Loosen water pump pulley bolts/screws (27).
3. Serpentine drive belt.
4. Water pump pulley (28).
5. Radiator inlet hose from water pump.
6. Water pump bolts/screws (29).
7. Water pump (32) and water pump gasket (33). Clean
^ All gasket surfaces.
^ Water pump bolts/screws.

INSTALLATION
1. New water pump gasket (33).
2. Water pump (32).
3. Water pump bolts/screws (29). Tighten water pump bolts/screws (29) to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) plus an additional 80 degrees using Torque Angle Meter.
4. Radiator inlet hose to water pump.
5. Water pump pulley and pulley bolts/screws (27). Tighten water pump pulley bolts/screws (27) to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.).
6. Serpentine drive belt.
7. Add engine coolant. Inspect for leaks, after running engine to normal operating temperature.
