Front Brake Hose

Front Brake Hose (Typical):





REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Tire and wheel. Clean Dirt and foreign material from front brake hose and front brake hose fitting.
2. Front brake pipe from front brake hose. Use a backup wrench on hose fitting. Be careful not to bend front brake hose bracket or front brake pipe.
3. Brake hose retainer from hose fitting at brake hose bracket.
4. Brake hose from brake hose bracket.
5. Brake hose fitting, brake hose, and two brake hose fitting gaskets from front brake caliper. Discard two old brake hose fitting gaskets.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Brake hose fitting, brake hose and two new brake hose fitting gaskets to front caliper. Lubricate hose fitting threads with brake fluid. Hose fitting flange must engage front caliper orientation ledge. Tighten Front brake hose fitting to 44 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).
2. Brake hose into brake hose bracket. There should be no kinks in brake hose.
3. Brake hose retainer at brake hose bracket.
4. Front brake pipe to brake hose, connect brake hose retainer and secure with screw to brake hose bracket. Use backup wrench on hose fitting. Make sure that brake hose does not make contact with any part of the suspension. Check in extreme right and extreme left turn conditions. Tighten Front brake hose clip bolt/screw to 13 Nm (115 lb. in.).
5. Bleed brake hydraulic system.
6. Tire and wheel.
