1. Confirms that a malfunction condition exists.
2. Checks to see if the indicator can be turned "ON" manually.
3. Checks the integrity of the indicator bulb.
4. Checks for an indicator low side circuit open.
5. Checks for an indicator low side circuit short to voltage.
