Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement

Upper Trim Pad






Remove or Disconnect

1. Fuse box cover and I/P side trim panel - RH.
2. Right outer air outlet assembly.
3. Lower trim panel - RH.
4. Left outer air outlet assembly.
5. Windshield center defroster grille.
6. Center air outlet assembly.
7. I/P accessory trim plate upper screw.
8. Pull outward on upper and left side of trim plate disengaging clips.
9. Prop upper edge of trim plate 6 inches away from I/P
10. Bolts mounting upper trim pad. See Figure.
11. Upper trim pad by pulling pad rearward and upward.


Install or Connect

1. Align upper trim pad forward tabs with slots. Push pad forward and position rear edge on alignment locators.
2. Bolts/screws mounting upper trim pad. See Figure.
Tighten:
Bolts/screws at I/P cluster area to 4 Nm (35 lb in).
Bolt/screw through right side of I/P to 3.3 Nm (29 lb in).
Bolts/screws at center defroster grille to 3.3 Nm (29 lb in).
3. Outer air outlet - LH.
4. Windshield defroster grille.
5. I/P accessory trim plate with clips and upper screw.
Tighten upper screw to 1.6 Nm (14 lb in).
6. Center air outlet.
7. Lower trim panel.
8. Outer air outlet - RH.
9. Side trim panel and fuse box cover.
