Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair

WASHER PUMP REPLACEMENT






Remove


1. Negative battery cable.
2. Washer solvent.
3. Screws to allow inner fender panel to be pulled to gain access to solvent container (2).
4. Electrical connector and washer hose assembly (3) from washer pump (4).
5. Screw (1) from mounting tab at neck of solvent container.
6. Two screws (1) from container mounting brackets.
7. Container from inner fender.
8. Washer pump from container.

Install

Note: See fastener.

1. Washer pump (4) in solvent container (2).

Note: Make sure washer pump is pushed completely into the container seal.

2. Insert neck of container into engine compartment, then attach container with three screws (1).

Tighten

Screws (1) to 5 Nm (44 lb. in.).

3. Washer hose assembly (3) and electrical connector.
4. Inner fender panel and screws.
5. Washer solvent.
6. Negative battery cable.
