Gear Inlet Hose

GEAR INLET HOSE

Remove

1. Line retainer (if applicable).
2. Nut attaching gear inlet hose to generator.
3. Gear inlet pipe from pump.
4. Gear inlet pipe/hose from rack and pinion steering gear.
5. Gear inlet hose from vehicle.

Install

1. Gear inlet hose into position on vehicle.
2. Gear inlet pipe/hose to rack and pinion steering gear.

Tighten
Gear inlet pipe/hose to 27 Nm (20 lbs. ft.).

3. Gear inlet pipe to pump.

Tighten
Gear inlet pipe/hose to 27 Nm (20 lbs. ft).

4. Nut attaching pipe to generator.

Tighten
Nut to 5 Nm (44 lbs. in.).

5. Bolt attaching pipe to pump.

Tighten
Bolt to 26 Nm (19 lbs. ft.)

6. Line retainer (if applicable).

- Bleed air from system. Service and Repair
