Battery Run Down Protection

The Inadvertent Power Control output of the Multi-function Alarm Module applies voltage to the Courtesy, Dome, Reading and Luggage Compartment Lamps with the Ignition Switch "OFF." The output timer will shut off power to all the above lamps after 18 to 22 minutes if the vehicle has traveled more than 15 miles since battery voltage was applied to the module. If the vehicle has traveled less than 15 miles since battery voltage was applied to the module, the output timer will shut off the lamps after 2 to 4 minutes.

The Inadvertent Power Control output can be reset by opening or closing any door, turning the Ignition Switch to "RUN," or checking and shutting off any Interior Lamps that are turned on accidentally.
