Removal/Installation

Fig. 7 Installing Strut Assembly:

1. Raise hood and remove strut protective cap and three strut to body attaching nuts.
2. Raise and support vehicle, support suspension using suitable jack stands.
3. Remove wheel and tire assembly, then install modified inner drive joint boot protector tool No. J-34754, or equivalent.
4. Using tool J-24319, or equivalent, disconnect tie rod from strut assembly.
5. Remove strut to steering knuckle attaching bolts, Fig. 7, then remove strut from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
