Fuel Rail X-Over Tube

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Perform Fuel Pressure Release Procedure.
3. Remove the fuel rail assembly.
4. Remove the fuel tube bracket attaching screw and the fuel tube bracket.
5. Remove the crossover tube retainer attaching screws (4) and the crossover tube retainers (3).
6. Remove the crossover tube (2) from the fuel rails.
7. Remove the O-rings (1) from the crossover tube (2).
- Discard the O-rings.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Lubricate the new crossover tube O-rings (1) with clean engine oil.
2. Install the O-rings (1) on the crossover tube (2).
3. Install the crossover tube (2) into the fuel rail sections.
4. Install the crossover tube retainers (3) and the attaching screws (4).

Tighten
Screws to 5 Nm (44 lb. in).

5. Install the fuel tube bracket and the attaching screw.

Tighten
Screws to 5 Nm (44 lb. in).

6. Install the fuel rail assembly.
7. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
9. Inspect for leaks.
A. Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds.
B. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds.
C. Turn the ignition switch ON.
D. Check for fuel leaks.
