Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

Fuel Rail Assembly - Exploded View:

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Service and Repair
3. Remove the upper manifold assembly,
4. Remove the pressure regulator bracket attaching screw.
5. Remove the regulator assembly and O-rings, discard the O-rings.

INSTALLATION:

1. Lubricate new O-rings with clean engine oil, and install.
2. Install the regulator and attaching screw and tighten to 22.5 Nm (102 lb.in).
3. Install the fuel rail assembly.
4. Install the upper manifold assembly.
