Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

CONDENSER REPLACEMENT





Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Radiator upper support.
3. Discharge air conditioning system.
Refer to refrigerant recovery procedures under Service and Repair. Service and Repair

4. Nut retaining air conditioning lines to condenser.

Important: Cap or plug open lines immediately.

5. Condenser and oil cooler assembly from vehicle.
6. Screws retaining oil cooler to condenser.
7. Screws retaining condenser bracket to condenser.

Important: Prior to condenser installation, refer to "Refrigerant Oil Distribution" under capacity specifications for information on adding new refrigerant oil and quantity of new oil required. Specifications


Install or Connect
1. Condenser bracket and screws to condenser.
2. Screws retaining oil cooler to condenser.
3. Condenser and oil cooler assembly to vehicle.
4. Nut retaining air conditioning lines to condenser.
5. Radiator upper support.
6. Recharge air conditioning system.
