Connecting Rod: Service and Repair

Assemble pistons to connecting rods as shown in Fig. 18. When install piston and rod assembly, arrow on piston head must face front of engine.
Upon installation, measure the connecting rod side clearance using a suitable feeler gauge. Connecting rod side clearance should be .008 to .028 inch.
