1992-93 CAVALIER
1993 CORSICA/BERETTA WITH 2.2L ENGINE

CONDITION:
Some owners of 1992-93 J cars and 1993 L cars with the 2.2L LN2 (VIN Code 4) engines may comment of the presence of a fuel odor.

CAUSE:
In a very small number of cases, the fuel pressure regulator may be stuck in the closed position causing a leak at the fuel injector seal.

CORRECTION:
To assure customer satisfaction and prevent comebacks, check vehicle fuel pressure using the fuel system pressure test found in the service manual Section 6E3, Chart A-7. If Chart A-7 leads you to replace the fuel pressure regulator, then replace all of the following parts using the procedures in the appropriate service manual Section 6E3-C2.
