Ignition Switch Connectors - Installation:

CAUTION: On models equipped with airbags, refer to Air Bags / Service and Repair / Air Bag System Disarming prior to performing any repair. Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Steering wheel.
2. Cover screws (22).
3. Upper steering column cover (3).
4. Lower steering column cover screws (26) and lower steering column cover (24).
5. Shift lever to "PARK" position and key to "OFF-LOCK" position then remove key.
6. Two ignition switch mounting screws (21) and ignition switch assembly (20).
7. All wire connectors from ignition switch assembly (push locking tabs to remove wires).


INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. All wire connectors to ignition switch assembly.

NOTES:
- Be sure the shift lever is in the "PARK" position and that the key has been turned to the "OFF-LOCK" position and then removed.

- Be sure all connectors are securely seated.

- Be sure tab on lock cylinder housing assembly (19) aligns with slotted opening on ignition switch.

2. Ignition switch assembly to lock cylinder housing assembly with two screws and tighten to 2.8 Nm (25 lb in).
3. Lower steering column cover with three screws and tighten to 5.5 Nm (49 lb in).
4. Upper steering column cover to lower cover with two screws and tighten to 5.5 Nm (49 lb in).
5. Steering wheel.
