CS-130 Repair Procedures
GENERATOR ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT CS-I 30 100-Amp Generator Assembly (L03 and L05, Except Police and Taxi)
Note: Do not attempt to disassemble a CS-130 series generator. Damage to the generator assembly could result. The CS-121 or CS-130 series generators are not repairable and must be replaced as an assembly.
Remove
CAUTION: Refer to the Battery Negative Cable Assembly.
1. Battery negative cable assembly from battery terminal.
2. Battery positive cable assembly from generator "BAT" terminal.
3. Bolts/screws (9, 17 and 21) from generator assembly (5).
4. Generator assembly (5).
5. Wiring harness connector from generator assembly (5).
Install
1. Wiring harness connector to generator assembly (5).
2. Generator assembly (5) into position in bracket assembly (4).
3. Bolts/screws (9, 17 and 21).
Tighten
- Bolts/screws (9 and 21) to 25 Nm (18 lb. ft.).
- Bolt/screw (17) to 50 Nm (37 lb. ft.).
4. Battery positive cable assembly to generator "BAT" terminal.
Tighten
- Cable nut to 20 Nm (15 lb. ft.).
5. Battery negative cable assembly (23) to battery terminal.
Tighten
- Battery negative cable bolt/screw to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
