CS-144 Repair Procedures

CS-144 124-Amp Generator Assembly (LB4, L03 and L05, Police and Taxi)






Remove

CAUTION: Refer disconnecUng the Battery Negative Cable Assembly.

1. Battery negative cable assembly from battery terminal.
2. Battery positive cable assembly from generator "BAT" terminal.
3. Nut (25).
4. Bolts/screws (9, 17 and 21).
5. Generator assembly (5).
6. Wiring harness Connector from generator assembly (5).

Install

1. Wiring hamess connector to generator assembly (5).
2. Generator assembly (5) into position on bracket assembly (7).
3. Bolts/screws (9, 17 and 21).
4. Nut (25).

Tighten

- Bolts/screws (9 and 21) to 25 Nm (18 lb. ft.).
- Bolt/screw (17) to 50 Nm (37 lb. ft.).
- Nut (25) to 50 Nm (37 lb. ft.).

5. Battery positive cable assembly to generator "BAT" terminal.

Tighten

- Cable nut to 20 Nm (15 lb. ft.).

6. Battery negative cable assembly to battery terminal.
