MODELS:

CONDITION:
Some customers may comment about an A/C compressor "bump" feel when compressor cycles.
CAUSE:
Engine power requirement changes when compressor cycles on and off.
CORRECTION:
1993 Vehicles:
An "L" size A/C compressor pulley (which has a larger diameter than the previous "G" pulley), a longer engine accessory belt, and a revised belt tensioner will improve A/C compressor "bump" feel.
1994 Vehicles:
An "L" size A/C compressor pulley, and a longer engine accessory belt will improve A/C compressor "bump" feel. The revised belt tensioner is not needed for 1994 repairs as it was implemented for all 1994 vehicles.
Replace compressor pulley per Service Manual Section 1D2. Procedure for drive belt and tensioner assembly can be found in Section 6A3A.
