Standby Power Supply: Service and Repair

Do not open the DERM case for any reason. Touching the connector pins or soldered components may cause electrostatic discharge damage. Repair of a faulty DERM is by replacement only.

1. Disarm airbag system as described under ``Airbag System Disarming.''
2. Remove right side lower sound insulator pad, then remove the I/P compartment door assembly.
3. Disconnect Connector Position Assurance (CPA) connector and electrical connector from DERM.
4. Remove DERM from vehicle.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Rearm airbag system as described under ``Airbag System Arming.''
