Refrigerant Hose Replacement:

A/C REFRIGERANT HOSE REPLACEMENT
When a refrigerant leak is detected at an air conditioning refrigerant hose connection which has a crimped metal band, the crimped band may be replaced with a special screw-type service clamp on non-warranty type repairs. Follow the service procedure listed below for clamp replacement or hose repair for a damaged and/or leaking refrigerant hose. This allows the dealer the added flexibility of repairing hose assemblies rather than replacing them. Replace the entire hose assembly on warranty repairs. Hose replacement should only be performed during non-warranty type repairs.
