Subject: KEYLESS ENTRY INFORMATION

Model and Year: 1992 CAPRICE

Some 1992 B Cars built early in the year were built with a keyless entry (option AU0) receiver module which was not properly wired. The module is located under the rear package shelf, between the rear speakers. All cars built with this condition had the option removed from the invoice before shipment from the assembly plant, and were shipped without the transmitter.

If a transmitter from Parts is used in an attempt to use the keyless entry feature, the trunk release function will not work. NO ATTEMPT SHOULD BE MADE TO CORRECT THESE VEHICLES.

The receiver module MUST be left in the vehicle for the normal power door locks to work properly. DO NOT REMOVE THE RECEIVER.

Vehicles after the following VIN's are built properly:

Willow Run: NW103483 (NW100922 and NW101562 are also correct)

Arlington: NR101011
